Cook beets until slightly tender.
Remove skins.
Slice thin.
Fry in butter on low heat until starting to brown.
Onions (Optional) are also delicious with beets.
This came from a Friend of ours we gave some beets to. When they came to visit again, asked if they wanted more, stated yes. I asked her how she used them, and she gave me above recipe but did not mention onions. Made them the first time without then added my own addition of the onions Really delicious now to store some for the winter!
